Scalp care

Add Water & Our Nourish Aloe + Coco Shampoo into a applicator bottle or a spray bottle, apply this directly to your scalp, massage the scalp & rinse thoroughly.

Sea breeze is also a great option for scalp cleansing and fighting dandruff.

Be advised: The more often you shampoo, the frizzier your base will get. Always be sure to blowdry or sit under the drier to ensure your braids inside the locs are not damaged or mildewed.

Products

Do not use heavy products & conditioners on locs, this will cause excessive product build-up.

Touching up your edges every couple of days is fine but avoid using excessive amounts of edge control. I highly recommend washing out the edge control as often as possible to avoid excessive product build up which can cause breakage during your removal process.

Wash Routine

It's usually not necessary to wash the locs unless you’ve been in the pool, ocean, etc. Please note that this may effect the longevity of your loc install as it will cause your base to frizz.

see scalp care section if you’d like to see how to keep your scalp clean.

Removal

If installed properly, each installation can last 4-5 months with maintenance in between. Ask your stylist for there time frame recommendations based on their technique and your hair type. If these locs are removed properly they can be reinstalled.
